Self-Care is a Necessity
As I stated in my previous post, I started back on this journey because of “loss”. Not having that other dynamic there to support me and balance out my energies, I felt out of sorts and found myself needing to get grounded. I needed to tap back into me, my authentic self. So in this age of social media, I searched for ways to invest in myself and in my peace of mind. And I was introduced to the practice of yoni steaming, v-steam, hip bath, etc.I was so interested in the physical benefits of yoni steaming that I had to try it myself. So I made myself an appointment not knowing what to expect and let’s just say it brought me closer to understanding what direction I wanted to focus my holistic healing on.
The more I engaged in self-care practices, the more I became in touch with my feminine energy. I became more invested in my overall health; as well as, my inward and outward appearances. I’ve always been a girly girl but this new sense of self was different.
I felt myself wanting to connect more spiritually to my inner goddess. I began to understand how self-care was in fact a form of self love. I began to realize that cleansing my womb unblocked the traumas, emotions and the neglect that she had endured over the years. This cleansing brought me back closer to my power.
Once you understand the power your womb holds, you’ll truly begin to understand your magic. Before beginning my self-care journey, I was never told that the womb was a portal between spirit and the human world. The center of our creativity. Not only do we birth new life, we birth new ideas, new inventions, etc. I was always told that if you have the pussy, you have the power. But I didn’t fully understand the magnitude of that statement until now. The power of the womb is immeasurable.
As women our bodies go through so many different changes throughout our lifetime. From starting our period, to giving birth and going through menopause, our bodies are truly magical. And in order for us to access and harness our magic, we have to take care of the source of our magic...our womb.
If you already have a self-care routine, such as facials, mani/pedis, etc. incorporate womb care into that as well. Types of womb care are vaginal steaming, vaginal facials, using vaginal oils and clays to detox and moisturize your vaginal lips. Drink teas that nourish you throughout your cycle. There’s a number of ways to love and honor your womb.
Once you establish a healthy relationship with your womb, you’ll begin to notice how your life literally changes for the better on a spiritual, physical, emotional and mental level.
Holistic healing is all about healing the whole body, inward and outward. This includes your womb; so I implore you to give vaginal steaming a try, and from your own experience determine if this practice should be incorporated into your self-care routine.
